DC MECHANIC Master Service Agreement By submitting a deposit, scheduling service, or authorizing work, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the following terms and conditions. ⸻ 1. Deposit Policy Deposit Requirement: A deposit is required to secure and confirm your appointment. •The deposit equals the full mobile/service fee. •Base service fee: $50 •For locations beyond 50 miles, an additional $1 per mile applies. •A paid deposit is the only way to confirm and hold your appointment. •Appointments without a paid deposit are not confirmed and may be automatically canceled. Non-Refundable Deposits All deposits are non-refundable. Deposits will not be returned under any circumstances, including cancellations or rescheduling by the customer. The deposit: •Applies toward the service/mobile fee only •Does not apply toward labor charges Cancellations •Same-day cancellations may be subject to a fee of 25% of the total scheduled service cost. •The mobile/service fee remains due for any canceled appointment. Rescheduling •With at least 48 hours’ notice, your deposit may be applied to a rescheduled appointment. •With less than 48 hours’ notice, a new deposit is required. Company Cancellations: If DC MECHANIC must cancel: •Your deposit may be refunded, OR •Applied to a rescheduled appointment at your discretion. ⸻ 2. Payment Policy Payment Due: All payments for services and repairs are due at the time of service, unless prior written arrangements are approved. For multi-day or Large/XL jobs: •Labor and parts must be paid at the end of each service day. •Failure to remit daily payment may result in suspension of work. ⸻ 3. Mechanic’s Lien Policy: This policy applies to all vehicles serviced by DC MECHANIC. If payment is not received in full within 24 hours of service completion, DC MECHANIC reserves the right to pursue a mechanic’s lien under Wisconsin state law. Outstanding balances may include: •Labor •Parts •Service/mobile fees •Storage fees •Lien filing and enforcement costs The vehicle will not be released until all outstanding amounts are paid in full. Written notice will be provided prior to lien enforcement. This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin. ⸻ 4. Warranty Policy Workmanship Warranty: DC MECHANIC provides a 7-day workmanship warranty on repairs performed directly by our company. •Warranty begins on the date service is completed. •Concerns must be reported within 7 calendar days. •Failure to report within 7 days voids warranty eligibility. Warranty Void Conditions Warranty is null and void if: •Another mechanic or shop performs work on the repaired system. •Unauthorized modifications are made. •The issue results from misuse, neglect, unrelated failure, or pre-existing conditions. Parts Warranty: Parts warranties are subject solely to the manufacturer or supplier’s terms. DC MECHANIC does not extend additional parts coverage unless stated in writing. ⸻ 5. Video & Audio Recording Policy DC MECHANIC reserves the right to use dash cams, body cams, and other recording devices for safety and documentation purposes. Recording may occur during: •Service performance •Vehicle operation •Worksite activities Recordings are used to: •Protect technicians •Document service conditions •Preserve evidence in case of disputes or incidents All recordings: •Comply with applicable laws •Are the sole property of DC MECHANIC •May be reviewed for safety, liability, or dispute resolution Devices may not be tampered with, disabled, or removed without authorization. By scheduling service, you acknowledge and consent to this policy. ⸻ 6. Third-Party Financing Policy (Afterpay, Klarna, Affirm) DC MECHANIC offers financing options through Afterpay, Klarna, and Affirm. Eligibility: •Approval is determined solely by the financing provider. •DC MECHANIC does not control approvals, limits, or denials. Payment Requirement •Payment must be fully approved and processed before services begin. •A payment link will be provided prior to service start. Pricing: Service pricing may be slightly higher when using financing due to processing fees. Non-Refundable Payments processed through third-party financing are considered non-refundable per provider policies. Declined Applications If financing is declined: •You remain responsible for the non-refundable service/mobile deposit. •The deposit covers technician dispatch and travel. ⸻ Agreement Acknowledgment By paying a deposit, authorizing repairs, or accepting service from DC MECHANIC, you acknowledge and agree to all terms outlined in this Master Service Agreement.
